  1. What went wrong was that I settled on Robertson instead of Branthwaite. Doh! 🤦‍♂️ What went well was having Mateta and Watkins up front & Arsenal lads. Big green arrow, but will be tough to keep momentum with all the incoming wildcards & BB37's.
  2. Extending the dead end team seemed too work since it got my highest GW rank off the season (50k) 🥳 Wildcard active. Have taken a very different approach to you defence wise Hoodini. One semi premium (White) then cheap as chips for the rest, which means loads of money for the attacking positions. Time will tell whether it works but now committed to Bb34. GK/Def for that will have: 1 x Arsenal 1 x Everton 1 x Bournemouth 2 x Wolves 2 x Palace What could possibly go wrong 😬🤣
  3. Interested to see how this goes. I used to have a second team which I tried to play a different strategy with, but generally I'd just end up using it to get rage transfers out of my system 🤬
  4. Meaning 'strategy' in the loosest possible way since I'm basically just winging it. Dead ended into gw29 but extending that by a week - WC gw31 then have BB & FH with absolutely no idea when i'll use them yet. Probably depends on the DGW announcements but not really going to set up a team which is weaker but has more doublers - will just bring in DGW bench fodder. Anyone got a clear strategy?
  5. Changes strategy a few times over the years. I used to rotate but got too frustrated as always seemed to get it wrong so switched to a premium and bench fodder. Recent seasons have tended to see a £4.5m breakthrough so usually now start with Pickford & Everton second choice as they're usually 4.5/4m and unlikely to need an extra two Everton slots 🙃 and switch to whichever cheap keeper emerges from the pack.
  6. 2010-11 and played every season since. Had been invited to join a mini league set up by a few on an old school discussion forum I used (so really pleased to see this forum up and running as always preferred the long form chat style) and joined for shits and giggles as hadn't really followed footy for years. Won the mini league by a mile as the strategy element appealed to my mindset, and it got me right back into the beautiful game so all good.
  7. Usually slugging it out with a mate for which of us (usually me!!!) wins the mini-league we're in. A couple of seasons ago persuaded him to do a "you show me mine..." team reveal a few days before the deadline. Got a good idea of which premiums he was set on. Imagine his delight when I then showed him my team, which was still the auto-pick one 🙃
